Our first poll together!!!!

So Kate and I were at Petsmart yesterday, shopping for Abita's weekly toy (this week she got a bee. I hope she likes it lolz). The store had a brand new section. In fact, they were unveiling it for the first time that day. Kate and I, naturally, were very curious. We held hands, our souls shaking together as we anxiously peered inside the curtain. What did we see? Dog outfits. That's right, an entire department of costumes to dress our dog in!!! Granted, we usually make our own outfits and dress Abita in them (that's what Wednesday night is for!!!!), but these costumes were way beyond our capability. So I ask you, our loyal Fanbitas, which costume should we buy for Abita this week? Kate wants them all, but as the breadwinner of the household, I have to stick to one per month (ok, per week o=)) So let us know which one we should get!!!

Married Life!!

Actual conversation from last night:

Karl: So where do you want to go to dinner tonight?

Kate: I don't care, you pick.

Karl: Ok...how about Denny's?

Kate: (pause) Denny's?

Karl: Yeah, is that not Ok?

Kate: Well, I was thinking Applebee's.

Karl: Why didn't you just say that when I asked you?

Kate: I was hoping you would say it.

Karl: I'm not a mind reader. If you want something, you have to tell me. So when I ask you where you want to eat, just say what you're thinking.

Kate: I'm cheating on you.


LOLZ. That last line didn't happen!! But still, married life is so cute and we're so cute for being married!! It's the little things!!!!

Austin Memories!!

It seems like just yesterday we became man and wife in front of all our family and friends! Here's a photo in the airport from the beginning of that wonderous weekend! We think it's a metaphor about our marriage. It's under construction...but you can still get your luggage!! LOLZ

It may be illegal, but I feel like I'm married to the dog too.

I know the title of this blog is 'Everybody Loves Abita,' (ed. Kate- And they DO!!!! ;)) but sometimes she can be too much. Kate and I got her as a test child one lonely autumn afternoon (ed. Kate- It was winter Karl lolz) (ed. Karl- Please stop interrupting me, dear), and she is the single most important female in my life (ed. Kate- WHAT?????) (ed. Karl- You're a wife, not a woman). But sometimes, truly, I feel like a bigamist. Not only does Abita sleep in our bed with us, but she also bathes with me. Kate taught her to eat at the table with us, but I don't think she's quite got the table etiquette down yet. It's a salad fork, Abita, learn how to use it!!!! lolz. Anyway, I'd ask this to Kate, but she doesn't want to overshadow me with her law school expertise. So can anyone tell me of any prior cases involving human/animal bigamy? Am I a pioneer in this field? I'm torts-ured with anticipation LOL =).

Just Another Thursday Night in Tucson!!

Hey gang, Kate here, taking a quick break from the world of selling internet advertising *yuck* Well, now you know my job, my husband (I still get chills saying that! LOL) works for Raytheon.

Needless to say, by the time Thursday gets around we're pretty worn out so we like to cut loose a little. Last night we did the usual - pop open a bottle of burgundy and turn on Antiques Roadshow. (There was the most adorable little clock that was worth $30,000!!!)

I used to love Must See TV, but that's not around anymore *sniff* Karl can't watch the new lineup because The Office hits too close to home and Scrubs mocks his career choices :(

Oh, we also gave Abita a new toy! (I didn't really like that shoe anyway LOLZ)

Hey Everybody!!

Hi! We're Karl and Kate. We just got married two weeks ago in the most beautiful ceremony in Austin! After a week of wonderful honeymooning in Scotland, we're back in Tucson to start the rest our lives together! And although we do like Abita the beer *laffs* it's also the name of our dog! She's our pride and joy and makes us so happy! And we think a lot of other people agree. I guess you could say...Everybody Loves Abita!!

We hope this blog gives you a little insight into our world. We're only starting this whole marriage thing and we're not really sure what we're doing! LOL! We might need some tips!! Thanks, we love you all so much!!
