Kate and I are hooked. Everyone knows that we looooove sports, especially NASCAR and horse racing (ed. Kate- Karl, buy me the bones of Barbaro, now). Sometimes we enjoy games with balls, almost as much as I like playing with balls (baseballs, basketballs, footed balls, balls balls). But we were blown away by the event we attended yesterday in Phoenix (America's concrete wonderland!). No, we didn't go see Barry Bonds not start against the D-backs (ed. Kate- Karl, buy steroids for yourself. I want you buff, now). Instead, we saw the magic of the WNBA (Go Mercury!) Why watch booooring LeBron Gaymes (get it?) when you can watch the Queen, Diana Taurasi lead her team from nearly 17 back to tie the game in the closing minutes against the powerhouse Minnesota Lynx? There is no reason. Everyoen should watch the WNBA as much as possible. (For those that didn't stay up until 10pm Mountain Time for the end of this thriller, the Mercury lost :( But they're still the best :)). Hook 'em horns!
Phoenix Mercury
PS: Kate doesn't know this yet, but I'm buying tickets to the WNBA All Star Game. It's always a great game, and no, last year's last minute dunkfest was not an embarassment to sports. Uncle Charlie is.

God, you're so great, Kate! I love the WNBA, too! But I had to TiVO the game because I was watching the "L" Word marathon. I love you!
